Lunaris Rulebook
Before you begin
THE RULE BOOK
The rulebook for Lunaris can be accessed in a few ways. You can purchase a physical copy of the book in the Anarkand store. Download and / or print a PDF version for free, or view on the Lunaris page via mobile device.
THE DICE
When I built the game, I of course has the option to include on-screen dice to streamline the game etc, however, half the fun ( if not more! ) of participating in the rolling of a die, is in the physical action. There is no better feeling than when physically rolling a die and scoring highly. I wanted the interaction between the player and the game to include this feature, especially for when playing as a small team with your friends. There is something magical to everyone rooting for the successful roll of another.
Four-sided die. This is referred to as a d4. When used, the top number is the number you have rolled.
Six-sided die. This is referred to as a d6. When used, the number facing up is the number you have rolled.
Eight-sided die. This is referred to as a d8. When used, the number with its side pointing up is the number you have rolled.
Ten-sided die. This is referred to as a d10. When used, the number with its side pointing up is the number you have rolled.
Twelve-sided die. This is referred to as a d12. When used, the number with its side pointing up is the number you have rolled.
Twenty-sided die. This is referred to as a d20. When used, the number with its side pointing up is the number you have rolled.
Using the dice is simple enough. Throughout your journey you will be asked to make a roll. Maybe it is to find out if the action you are about to take is successful, or it is required to figure out the attack damage you will do towards an enemy. There are many reasons for making a roll. When you do, you will see something like the following examples...
1d6 - This means roll one six-sided die
2d10 - This means roll a ten-sided die twice
1d6 + 5 - This means roll a six-sided die once and then add 5 to the number you rolled.
CHARACTER SHEETS
Character sheets are extremely important for you and your team. The sheets can be accessed in a few ways. You can purchase a physical copy of the Lunaris RPG Rulebook in the Anarkand store. This contains easily copyable character sheets, and spacecraft sheets. You can also download and / or print a PDF version for free,
Character sheets are where you fill in all of the information about the character you are role-playing. The sheets contain all of your abilities, the equipment you are carrying, weapon tech you have installed, all of your attack and shielding numbers, as well as any currency etc you have in your possession.
This will be the most important document you will utilise as you play the game.
