Lunaris Rulebook
Introduction to Lunaris
Welcome to the Lunaris Role-playing game. Lunaris is a story based game that is highly driven by exploration, moral dilemma, character development, and puzzle adventuring. You choose from an initial helping of 12 playable races, uniquely designed for the universe they will navigate. Everything from your characters background, to the spacesuit they wear and the utility weapons and abilities they start with are all yours to determine.
Lunaris has been hand-crafted by one individual, the creator of the Anarkand franchise, Stephen Purdon. It has been built from the ground up from someone who loves space exploration, role-playing, character development, customisation, and interaction and huge stories that are interwoven with deep plotlines and highly-detailed mechanics.
HOW DOES THE GAME WORK?
The Lunaris RPG unfolds just like any other highly interactive game / movie with the main difference being that it incorporates both, and is driven completely by you, the player(s). If you have ever played a D&D game, choose your own adventure book, or interactive story, then you will have a rough idea of what Lunaris is.
However, Lunaris is so much more, or at least that's what I am aiming for. Everything has been crafted by hand. There are literally hundreds of different ways to navigate the universe of Lunaris, and your decisions in the game will matter. In Lunaris, you will face a plethora of moral choices, enemies, interactive story elements, player choices and more.
It may appear that there are a lot of rules for the game, however they are, like most games, easy enough to learn quickly and mostly based on common sense. Once you've encountered something a few times, it will all click into place and you and your team will have no problems. This rulebook is here to give you an understanding of the game, and there is a full rulebook in the library section of your spaceship that can be accessed anytime should you need a refresher.
If you visit the Lunaris link on your mobile phone via Anarkand.com, you will have access to a handy menu full of information, tips and tricks which you can also access anytime.

Example Gameplay Scenario:
Imagine you and your team arrive on an uncharted planet. The landscape is dotted with ancient ruins and strange flora. As you explore, you discover remnants of a lost civilization. You must decide whether to investigate further or move on, balancing the risk of potential dangers against the promise of valuable knowledge.
Along the way, you encounter puzzles left by the ancient inhabitants, and perhaps even hostile creatures guarding their secrets. Your team's skills and abilities will be crucial in navigating these challenges and uncovering the planet's mysteries.
NOTE You and your team can all play the exact same character type if you wish. What this means is if you have 5 players who all want to be a human female whose background is a doctor, then feel free to do so. This however, may not be advisable....that is up to all of you.
